This is a truly wonderful production. And, Jeff is excited to team up with the like-minded professionals at Brightline.

June 2008

June 6-9, 2008 - Together again!!

Jeff and Jeff (Rose and Shipman, that is) will collaborate again on another major training video for the Georgia Department of Transportation. This time, during this 4-day shoot, anything and everything anyone could ever want to know about TRAFFIC SIGNALS will be revealed!

Let's see...green means "go"; red means "stop"; and yellow means...what does yellow mean?

Jeff is grateful for this ongoing work with the GA D.O.T.

May 2008

May 24, 2008 - Bringing history to light!

Jeff has been cast as lead detective "Boots Rogers" in Ben Loeterman's documentary re-telling of the story of Leo Frank, the man many consider wrongly accused and lynched for the 1915 murder of young Mary Phagan.

This piece is of extreme interest to Jeff since he grew up in Marietta, GA (where the lynching took place) and has known the story as long as he can remember.

Filming begins in mid-June 2008 in and around Atlanta.

May 22, 2008 - Jeff is cast as Major Bryce Ogden on the hit Lifetime Television series, "Army Wives". Jeff's character will be introduced in the fifth episode of season two...an episode that will be directed by Joanna Kerns!!

Watch for this episode to air around July 6th, 2008!! (Stay tuned for a confirmation on the broadcast date.)

May 5, 2008 - That's my boy!! (Part Deux!!)

While at the wonderful world of Disney, we learn that Brody is at it again! He has been chosen as a principal talent for an upcoming print shoot for the GA Lottery. These advertisements will be seen in magazines and on billboards and will shoot in Atlanta on May 16th.

April 2008

April 10, 2008 - That's my boy!!

Jeff's son, Brody, has just been cast as a principal actor in a new commercial for Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. The spot is titled "9 Out of 10" and follows Brody being taken to CHOA by his father who happens to be a surgeon at a different hospital.

Jeff will portray Brody's "surgeon" father...but, that's beside the point! (Although Jeff is ecstatic to be sharing the screen with his son!)

A big THANK YOU to Annette Stilwell for her keen casting eye!! (And, to Jeff's mother-in-law for being unable to watch Brody on Wednesday...which allowed Brody the opportunity to accompany Jeff to the audition!!)

The spot will be shot this weekend (April 12th and 13th) and will air soon all over Georgia.

And, that's my girl!!

While on the subject of Jeff's talented children...

Jeff's daughter, Kayla, recently shot a music video for an up and coming Christian artist. The video was produced by the multi-talented Damon Wood and directed by none other than Dave Moody!!

Kayla played the lead character of the song in a flashback as a young ballerina.

Jeff proudly states this is not a joke anymore: His children (Brody - 3, and Kayla - 6) now have better resume's than he did when he was 30!!!

April 2, 2008
- Back on stage!

After being away from the theater entirely too long, Jeff has been cast in PlayRight Productions' version of Tom Key's and Harry Chapin's incredibly powerful musical, "Cotton Patch Gospel"!

The ensemble cast is loaded with talent...Kelly Fletcher, Barry Piacente, Doug Allen, Jared Davis, David Payton, Brittany Shewbridge, Tiffany Watson, and Samm Darden. The production is being directed by PlayRight's multi-talented Debbie Walker and managed by Renee Davis.

About the production, Jeff says, "Though this opportunity fell into my lap almost out of nowhere, I couldn't have hand-picked a better show for my return to the stage. It's an honor and true inspiration to be constantly in the midst of such incredible talent and ability."

About playing Jesus, Jeff says, "Even during rehearsals, this production is giving me the awesome opportunity to prayerfully step into my Saviour's shoes every day and experience (to a certain degree) aspects of His life on earth I had only begun to imagine. God is using this play to draw me closer to Him by allowing me to discover finer details of Jesus' humanness during his walk on earth as a man. It is more true than ever...His sacrifice would have been in vain had He not experienced the ups and downs of life that we all experience...and faced so many more temptations than any of us will ever know. If I can translate even a fraction of that reality of Jesus Christ to our audiences, it will be amazing what God will do."

About being recommended for the part by Tom Key, Jeff says, "I have no adequate words to express my honor and gratitude. I am still in disbelief!"

In just a few weeks, "Cotton Patch Gospel" will open in Tennille, GA, then make it's way to metro Atlanta for an open ended run. Stay tuned for dates and times!
